The purpose of the half-day workshop is to create awareness of the impact of a changing workforce; provide a catalyst for candid conversation about the productivity impact of generational issues and focus on the practical advice, skills and tools that managers need to successfully navigate a multi-generational workplace.  The framework for the session is awareness, appreciation and action.  It begins by promoting awareness of the four-generation workforce, defining and describing the four generations, appreciating the events and trends that shaped each generation and the importance of flexing and adapting to meet the needs of each and taking action to lead and manage the mix. Participants will examine the workplace issues that result from a four generation workforce and identify what they can do.  Facilitated discussion will build leadership understanding of the impact of a changing workforce; examine the organizations demographic data explore best practices and provide a catalyst for candid conversations about the productivity impact of generational issues.  Messages can be tailored to focus on key topic areas including:  recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, engagement, coaching, retention, learning and development.
